The analytica trade fair has represented innovation since 1968. It takes place every two years and attracts visitors and exhibitors from all around the world. As a regular exhibitor Anton Paar is also participating this year, the year of analytica’s 25th anniversary.
With 1250 exhibitors analytica 2016 – the international trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology – is aiming for a new record. More exhibitors than ever are participating and presenting different new products from the fields of laboratory technology, analysis and quality control as well as biotechnology, life sciences and diagnostics. The biennial exhibition is the world’s largest of its type and known as being used as the stage for many product launches. This year the number is 120. With its own events in China, Vietnam and India analytica has long since established itself as the leading event in this field.
A wide selection for visitors
Visitors and participants are offered forums, training sessions, presentations, live demonstrations and special shows. Besides the educational program there is also a “Job Day” which aims to bring exhibitors into contact with potential new employees. The analytica conference connects producers, users and researchers and aims to promote interdisciplinary cooperation on an international level. Knowledge transfer and the direct exchange between science and industry are the top priorities.
Its own app
The free analytica visitor app 2016 for iOS and Android provides a mobile exhibition guide. Visitors receive all the background information about the trade fair and can search through exhibitors, fields of application, product groups, brands or events. Floor plans with a “compass” feature provide help with quick directions and the integrated social media canals give up-to-date information. There is also information about how to get to the location and available accommodation. The mobile business card is particularly innovative: Via QR code it is possible to quickly and easily exchange contact information with business partners.
Anton Paar at analytica
Anton Paar is in Hall A2 at Booth 214A with 36 different laboratory systems and a robot, all in the field of analysis and quality control. New products include the electronic measuring instrument for surface analysis – SurPASS™ 3 –, which investigates the zeta potential of macroscopic solids based on a streaming potential and streaming current measurement and helps to understand and improve surface properties and to develop new specialized materials.
Litesizer™ 500 for the characterization of nano- and microparticles in dispersions and solutions will also be presented. It determines particle size, zeta potential, and molecular mass by measuring dynamic light scattering (DLS), electrophoretic light scattering (ELS), and static light scattering (SLS).
Another highlight is the SVM™ 3001 viscometer which delivers more parameters than any other kinematic viscometer on the market. After one single measuring cycle on a small sample volume, you get kinematic viscosity, density, dynamic viscosity, Viscosity Index and many more.
